Last year, San Diego Teen Challenge (SDTC) distributed 196,914 pounds of food (equivalent to 153,839 meals) in cooperation with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Of that, 160,000 pounds were fresh produce. Because of SDTC’s efforts, they were selected to be San Diego Food Bank’s September Agency of the Month!

SDTC is active in the Food to Nonprofits program and also hosts a monthly neighborhood food distribution. As part of the City Heights community, SDTC participates in a pilot project between the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and Feeding America San Diego where all agencies in the community work together to provide food to the hungry.

SDTC’s food distribution is held every second Monday at the Teen Challenge center at 5450 Lea Street, San Diego, CA 92105. Distribution begins at 9:00 a.m. and extends until the produce is gone.
