From Homelessness to Freedom, Michael’s Story

Overwhelmed by feelings of abandonment and loneliness, he had fled from family and headed to the streets where he dove headfirst into addiction. “I had spent two days in North Hollywood walking around. I was covered in dirt, barefoot, pushing a shopping cart with trash in it that I’d pulled out of the dumpster.” After finding rock bottom, Michael found Teen Challenge. It was here that Michael a way to recover from the addiction that had been destroying his life. Today, Michael’s life looks very different. He is a valued member of the Teen Challenge IT team and he gets to see his son every weekend.
